Branden Mann & The Reprimand

Friday, July 23rd

The core members of BM&TR are Branden Mann (Vocals, Guitar) Tommy Ufkes (Drums, Guitar), and Jeff Weller (Bass). Formed in 2007 with a slightly different lineup (internationally known one-handed bassist Bill Clements was the original bassist in the band and is featured on the band's "Get Down To Business" album), the band can be anything from a 2-piece (Mann/Ufkes) to a 6-piece powerhouse complete with lead guitar, keyboards, saxophone, and any other instruments Mann's musical friends decide to use to make their contribution. As a band, BM&TR have been compared to Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals, The Black Keys, Wilco, Traffic, Dave Matthews Band and CCR, but the majority of listeners say that the diversity of the band's sound makes them a one-of-a-kind act.

John D. Lamb      Thursday, July 29th

Singer-songwriter John D. Lamb has spent most of his life in Michigan, but he writes songs as if he has spent his whole life on the road.  A tireless performer, Lamb spends quite a bit of time trekking around the state and nearby areas, continuously winning new fans with his brand of Midwestern roots rock.  His CD "A Novel Day" demonstrates Lamb's finesse with simple, evocative and catchy songcrafting.  His songs speak with a Hemingwayesque world-weary romanticism, particularly in "Matador," which is something of an informal tribute to Papa.  Lamb spins a tale of love and woe full of true irony and forlorn humor.

-Detroit Metro Times

You can read about Lamb’s retreats for songwriters, writers and poets, listen to mp3s, and check his tour schedule at www.jdlamb.com
